Configures instrument settings such as hardware alarms, instrument state, and date/time settings.
The instrument has a Relay Maintenance System to help you predict relay end-of-life. The instrument counts the cycles on each relay in the instrument and stores the total count in non-volatile memory on each switch module and hidden channels. You can use this feature on any of the relay modules.
For more information on relay life and load considerations, refer to "Relay Life and Preventative Maintenance" in the Keysight 34970A/34972A, 34980A or DAQ970A/DAQ973A User's Guide.
You can store the current instrument state in one of five non-volatile storage locations. These states are initially named STATE1 through STATE5. You can rename these states. You can also select from three predefined states: Last Power Down, Factory Reset for 34970A/34972A, Factory Reset for 34980A, Factory Reset for DAQ970A/DAQ973A, Preset for 34970A/34972A, Preset State for 34980A and Preset for DAQ970A/DAQ973A.
This tab displays the date and time settings for the instrument and computer, enables/disables the instrument's front panel display, and controls the Autozero mode.
This section displays the date and time settings for the instrument and the computer.
Click the Set Instrument to PC Clock button to synchronize the instrument's date and time setting to that of your computer. This is useful when performing timed starts and stops for scans.
Turn Off Instrument's Front-Panel Display - When selected, the instrument's display will be disabled when you click the Apply to Instrument button. When not checked (default mode), the instrument's display will be enabled when you click the Apply to Instrument button.
Enable Autozero - When selected (default mode), autozero is enabled. When unchecked, autozero will be disabled when you click the Apply to Instrument button.
You can calibrate the instrument through this tab to see the updated ACAL date, time, and temperature. Autocalibration is only available in the DAQM907A Multi-Function Module and the internal DMM of the DAQ970A/DAQ973A Data Acquisition System.
If other modules are installed to the rear panel of the instrument, the slots calibration info is disabled.
